Now upgraded to premium American Oak wood, this saya cover is a refined evolution of our previous magnolia design for both traditional and Western-style knives. Oak is significantly harder and more durable than magnolia, offering improved resistance to dents, scratches, and staining while providing a richer, more refined appearance. The dense hardwood construction enhances overall quality and longevity while remaining suitable for protecting carbon steel blades.
This upgraded saya features a built-in magnetic closure, eliminating the need for a traditional pin. The magnetic hold securely keeps the saya in place during normal use while removing the inconvenience of inserting pins or worrying about losing them. The pinless design also offers improved compatibility with Western-style knives, as there are no pin holes required.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to dry the knife thoroughly before placing it into the saya to ensure a proper fit and maximize protection.
This saya cover is specifically made for Yoshihiro Knives and may not be compatible with knives from other brands. Additionally, please note that it does not fit our Kurouchi Black forged knives.
