This handle is designed to fit Yoshihiro Yanagi knives. Yanagi knives are long, single-edge blades used for slicing sashimi and other delicate cuts.
This handle pairs Yoshihiro rosewood with an ebony bolster. Rosewood is a dense hardwood ranging from medium to dark brown with natural grain variation, long used in traditional Japanese knife handles for its warm tone and durability. Ebony's deep black tone sits at the bolster end of the handle.
It's built in the traditional octagonal Japanese handle shape and is available for blade lengths of 9.5" (240mm), 10.5" (270mm), and 11.8" (300mm). This listing is for the handle only; the knife blade is sold separately.
