Product Details
This handle is designed to fit Yoshihiro Kiritsuke knives. Kiritsuke knives combine traits of a gyuto and a yanagi in one all-purpose blade.
This handle pairs Yoshihiro rosewood with a mahogany bolster. Rosewood is a dense hardwood ranging from medium to dark brown with natural grain variation, long used in traditional Japanese knife handles for its warm tone and durability. Mahogany brings a reddish-brown tone to the bolster, so the two woods show a visible change in color where they meet.
It's built in the traditional octagonal Japanese handle shape and is available for blade lengths of 7" (180mm), 8.25" (210mm), and 9.5" (240mm). This listing is for the handle only; the knife blade is sold separately.
